The literal interpretation of the bible is one of the most dangerous things one could ignorantly adopt. In essence that is the common ground of Islam and most protestants. This is why we have "I am absolutely right and you are wrong" attitudes; because for them it is obvious that they are right if it's literal. Poor people; they aren't aware of the contribution to the destruction of the human race.
